Dr. Shishu completed her medical education in 1994 at Government Medical College, Nagpur, India. She came to U.S.A in 1995 after getting married. She completed her residency training at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (Michigan) and has been in practice since 2001.Dr. Shishu comes from a family of engineers. Rather than follow in the footsteps of her father and brother she opted to enter the medical field. She considers herself a people person and loves seeing a smile on the face of a patient who is cured of their illness. She started practicing Addiction Medicine five years ago and has found her passion pursuing this field of medicine. She has been very active in MAPI, Michigan Association of Physicians of Indian heritage, a charitable organization. She is the MAPI president for 2018.She is married to an engineer who works in an auto related industry. She has two children (twins). When not working Dr. Shishu enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
