This month, I’m excited to share one of the most ambitious projects we’ve ever done: a two-part feature on caregiving and Alzheimer’s disease, anchored by a couple whose story is tremendously inspiring and illuminating. It’ll be one of the most important stories we’ve ever published, and a necessary one: Caregiving is a role more and more Americans will find themselves in as the population ages. In the Indian-American community, an Alzheimer’s diagnosis can come with stigma and misconceptions.
We’re so grateful to the family that has generously shared their story with us, and in the season of gratitude, grateful to you for your loyal readership.
With questions or feedback, please be in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re also always considering pitches and submissions for reported pieces, cultural criticism and well-researched commentary relevant to metro-Detroit’s Indian-American community.
