Recipe: A virgin sangria for a hot summer day

This easy to make virgin sangria is loaded with lots of fresh fruit and juices. The secret to a really good sangria is to let it sit in the refrigerator for at least a few hours for all the juices to combine.

You can be creative with this recipe and substitute with other fruits or juices. Sliced plums, pears or pineapples are great alternatives. This summer is a perfect time to try this simple and delicious virgin sangria.

Ingredients:

2 cups apple juice
2 cups grape juice
½ cup orange juice
½ lemon juice
1 apple, thinly sliced
1 medium-sized orange, thinly sliced
½ lemon, thinly sliced
½ lime, thinly sliced
3 cups sparkling mineral water

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients, except for sparkling mineral water, in a large pitcher.
  2. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, allowing all the flavors to combine.
  3. When ready to serve, add mineral water to the pitcher
  4. Stir to mix all ingredients together, and enjoy.
